ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

The Department of Economics is an age old and pioneering Department in respect of starting  U.G. (1958), and courses/programmes like P. G. (1970), M. Phil (1991) and Ph. D (1997) in Economics.  To Empower Women, again it happened to be the First Department in the campus to admit women students at the P. G. level which was later followed by all other P. G. Departments of the college. Since its birth in the year 1958 the Department has been nourished and shaped by sincere, serious and well qualified Heads and Staff Members.
